Fine Alpine Treasures...and More Cowbell, too!

http://www.alpenschatz.com/Marketing/TellurideStyleAlpenSchatzFeature.pdf

A local award winning publication, Telluride Style Magazine, recently came out with it's 2014 Summer Edition featuring the Entrepreneurs of Telluride.

As a result, they chose to do a feature on Alpen Schatz which I would love to share with our fans.

http://www.alpenschatz.com/Marketing/TellurideStyleAlpenSchatzFeature.pdf

The piece covers the beginnings of Alpen Schatz, the influence of my Bernese Mountain Dogs and how we have grown over the years.

Enjoy the read!

Alpen Schatz at the Westminster 2013 Dog Show

February 11-12th 2013 was a big date in the Big Apple for tens of thousands of Dog Lovers, Breeders, and Handlers. It was the 137th Annual Westminster Dog Show which had record entries and attendance of over 25,000 eager canine enthusiasts who travelled from around the world to see their favourite breeds and learn about new ones.

This year Westminster awarded Affenpinscher Banana Joe Best in Show. This is the first time this 500 year old German breed has won Best in Show at Westminster. And Banana Joe is an appropriate name for this pup, as "Affen" in German means "Monkey"!

Behind the Scenes - prepping for the ring!

ALPEN SCHATZ BOOTH

Alpen Schatz was invited by the Westminster Kennel Club to travel to New York and set-up a booth with our fine European Imports to entertain the exhibitors and attendees of their show. That we did in style! We brought our classic SWISS collars and leashes as well as the beautiful HUNTER line of pet accessories and the classy La Cinopelca Italian collars, harnesses and leashes that people love so well.
Shine, a beautiful Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, in her new Alpen Schatz Swiss Collar with her owners sporting their new SWISS Belts and Armbandli. Shine competed in this year's show! She is from Seneca Swissy Kennels in Indiana.

We also made many adults and children alike happy with our darling Stuffed Animals, SWISS Cowbells, Folkmanis Puppets, Books, Alpine Hats and Accessories.

USA Pro Cycling Challenge comes to Telluride! Get your Cowbells now!

USA Pro Cycling Challenge - Colorado

On August 20, 2012 the Telluride community and Alpen Schatz Boutique will welcome Olympians, World Champions and Tour de France podium winners as they begin a race through the Colorado Rocky Mountains, enduring more mountain passes than any other race in North America.
Historic Telluride
Ajax Peak and historic Main Street will provide a striking backdrop for the Stage 1 finish of the 2012 USA Pro Cycling Challenge.

Arriving into Telluride via the only FREE Gondola in the World...
a Swiss one to boot!
Referred to as “America’s Race,” the second annual USA Pro Cycling Challenge will take place August 20-26, 2012. More than 1 million spectators are expected to line the route to see if Levi Leipheimer will defend his title as winner of the 2011 USA Pro Cycling Challenge.

So get your COWBELLS now to cheer on these amazing athletes as they make their way along the gruelling mountain course and over each finish line.

Every year the New York Stock Exchange ring in
the opening ceremonies of the World Economic Summit
with Alpen Schatz Swiss Cowbells
There is nothing like a cowbell to enhance
the excitement of an event!

Did you know that cowbells and racing have gone together for centuries, beginning in the Swiss alps during winter ski events. Some athletes say that cowbells give them that extra excitement and are less distracting than individual cheers.

Alpen Schatz will be fully stocked for on-line or in store purchases of the cowbells in anticipation of the race!

Just hangin' out in Telluride awaiting the US Pro Cyclers!

Matt Lauer Presents on Switzerland from the Jungfraujoch

Anchorman Matt Lauer recently presented a segment on the Today Show:

which is well worth a viewing. (Be sure to scroll down to see all pieces of his show, as each one is presented in a different video clip.)

In his Swiss TV appearance, one will see many Swiss treasures that Alpen Schatz makes available to its customers around the world.

Note the "in" hat of the Alps that Matt is wearing, the popular Austrian brand called
Eisbär, which Alpen Schatz carries in it's shop every winter. He also talks about the Swiss Cows with their classic Cow Bells, the most well known Swiss Breed dog, the St Bernard with its Swiss Keg, and traditional Swiss Yodeling, that is reminiscent of our Yodeling Marmots - whose pristine yodel is actually one of the top yodeler's in the Alps!
